Economic Conditions and Trends of the Walt Disney Company

With the economy remaining The Walt Disney Company’s largest threat, the recent turmoil in the financial markets has adversely affected the economic activity in the United States and other regions of the world in which Disney conducts business, and has affected demand for some of Disney’s products and services. A continued decline in economic activity could adversely affect demand for any of their businesses, thus reducing their overall revenue and earnings. A sustained decline in economic conditions could reduce attendance and spending at one or more of Disney’s parks and resorts, purchase of or prices for advertising on broadcast or cable networks or owned stations, prices that Cable Service Providers will pay for cable programming, performance of their theatrical and home entertainment releases, and purchases of Company-branded consumer products. These conditions could also impair the ability of those with whom Disney does business to satisfy their obligations to Disney.

Changes in exchange rates for foreign currencies may also reduce international demand for their products, increase the labor or supply costs in non-United States markets, or reduce the United States dollar value of revenue received from other markets.

Cultural and social values and trends

Each of Disney’s businesses creates entertainment or consumer products whose success depends substantially on consumer tastes and preferences that change in often unpredictable ways. The success of their businesses depends on their ability to consistently create and distribute filmed entertainment, broadcast and cable programming, online material, electronic games, theme park attractions, hotels and other resort facilities and consumer products that meet the changing preferences of the broad consumer market. Many of Disney’s businesses increasingly depend on worldwide acceptance of their offerings and products outside the United States, and the success of these offerings therefore depends on Disney’s ability to successfully predict and adapt to changing consumer tastes and preferences outside as well as inside the United States.

For example:

  • The success of Disney’s offerings in the home entertainment market depends in part on consumer preferences with respect to home entertainment formats, including DVD players and personal video recorders, as well as the availability of alternative home entertainment offerings and technologies, including web-based delivery of entertainment offerings.
  • Technological developments offer consumers an expanding array of entertainment options and if consumers favor options that Disney has not yet fully developed rather than the entertainment products they do offer, their sales may be adversely affected.

Political and legal issues

The success of Disney’s businesses is highly dependent on maintenance of intellectual property rights in the entertainment products and services they create. New technologies such as the convergence of computing, communication, and entertainment devices, the falling prices of devices incorporating such technologies, and increased broadband internet speed and penetration have made the unauthorized digital copying and distribution of their films, television productions and other creative works easier and faster and enforcement of intellectual property rights more challenging. The unauthorized use of intellectual property rights in the entertainment industry is a significant and rapidly growing phenomenon. These developments require Disney to devote …

The "What, Why, When and How" of a Content Plan

For a moment, visualize your website without the words, the images, the videos, the audio, the embed apps or even the raw data! How does it look and feel now? Empty, inanimate, useless, and worthless! Well, that sums up the value of web content. That said, you cannot fill up your website with just anything. The content you place and distribute over the World Wide Web, ought to have a purpose, which may be brand building, boosting online sales, simply delivering information to the visitors or a mix of all of these. When the content fails to hit these targets, it is nothing but noise. So, what differentiates a meaningful, relevant, goal-oriented content from the noise? The answer is – a strategic Content Plan.

“What is Content Plan & Do I have one for my website?”

The question is an obvious unless you are an online marketer who spends hours mapping digital marketing campaigns. In the plainest words, the Content Plan is a blueprint of what content you publish online, when, on what platform, for whom and with what objective. The other experts may add to the definition to widen its scope, but the essence is extracted in this one sentence. Now, addressing the latter part of your question, “Do I have one for my website”; well, if you have a documented plan for what content you release on the internet, your answer is a yes. Otherwise, you are still in need of one.

“Okay! I don’t have a Content Plan, and I think I don’t need it either”

That’s a common perception, and there’s nothing wrong if you feel the same way. However, please answer these questions to see if there is a shift in position regarding your Content Plan claim.

  1. Are you glad about the cost per visitor you extract from your website?
  2. Do you remember who published the last web page/blog post on your website?
  3. Is your Facebook page “Likes” & “Comments” count shooting up?
  4. Do you plan and discuss the online content at par with other marketing content?

The 4 straight ‘No(s)‘ or even 3 of them, is an eye-opener – a Content Plan is required.

“Agree! Suggest me a Content Plan then!”

To get a Content Plan that’s tailored exactly as per your business requirements, you may seek assistance from the professionals who are expert in Web Content Development. In case, you want to do it yourself, here is an outline of the entire content planning process.

“How Do I Start?”

For a new website, you begin Content Planning when you are through with the user research. In case, you already own a website with no content strategy, the process can be divided into the following broad stages.

  • Network Research

This is about identifying the online networks and communities where brands like you are discussed so that you can listen to the traffic and develop suitable content.

  • User Research

What the users want? The better way is to ask them. Conducting informal research …

Ride Snowboards

Ride snowboards are another popular, quality brand snowboard. You can purchase models of Ride snowboards for a discount price. This is a good way to get started with the Ride brand. Ride snowboards come in basically three different shapes that offer versatility to your maneuverability.

Snowboard shapes include directional which is versatile and easy to ride for progression issues, twin shape for all terrain freestyle riding options and twin shapes with centered stance positions. They come with basically three different types of edges also. The standard edge, stainless steel edge and cleave edge. The standard edge uses the Rockwell 48 C. The stainless steel edge offers the same hardness as the Rockwell; however, it requires less tuning and has corrosion resistant properties. The cleave edge has nearly 50% more steel, provides a unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned for larger radii.

Ride boards invented the Fusion Base technology and offer their boards in three different varieties. The Fusion 1500 base is the industry standard and is easy to repair as well as it accepts wax easily. The Fusion 4000 base is the fastest base material ever and is harder and more durable. Copper Fusion technology provides the fastest ride ever and provides different benefits over a wide variety of conditions. It is only offered in one board at the current time.

With the men’s division of boards, the prices can range anywhere from $310 to $550 depending upon the technology and the style of the board. Ride offers a minimum amount of boards to choose from on their website. In the women’s division, the boards range from $310 to $500 and once again, women’s boards are limited to approximately five options. The youth division only offers three options and they range in price from $170 to $240.

Even though Ride boards offers graphics and some funky ones at that; the colors are kind of dull compared to other companies. Yes, they have style and can grab some attention on the slopes; however, probably not as much as other brands. If you can look past the “fashion” accessory side to the board, Ride boards do have a lot more to offer its customer base in the form of some major and proven technology standards. Looks don’t always mean a thing when it comes to boarding. If you want a board that provides the technology that allows you to have control and more maneuverability as well as options, then Ride boards are the boards for you.

Ride also offers board bindings and boots to go right along with their boards as well as other accessories for both the board and the rider. If you want technology in a board that can help you with your performance instead of hindering it, then you may want to check into a board made by Ride. With the Fusion Base technology, they do have the one-of-a-kind technology that cannot be found in other brands.…

5 Methods to Last Longer in Bed for Men

Are you looking for methods to last longer in bed? Is premature ejaculation making you embarrassed about your performance in the bedroom and leave your girlfriend/wife unsatisfied?

If yes, you are at the right place.

If you can’t last more than 2 minutes during intercourse, you are suffering from premature ejaculation.

Premature ejaculation is a very disturbing issue for many men – it can make or break your relationship or marriage.

According to a survey, 89% of all women asked, admitted to being unfaithful to their men because of their man’s inability to satisfy them sexually in bed due to premature ejaculation. They can’t just seem to last long enough to give their women an orgasm.

I am telling you this not to scare you off – but to make you understand how important is it for you to overcome premature ejaculation.

It is not a permanent condition – there are methods that you can use right away to start lasting longer and satisfy your lady sexually.

The methods that I am going to share with you here are easy to follow. Try them and see the results for yourself.

Here are 5 methods to start lasting longer in bed for men:

Method 1: Stop masturbating quickly in order to reach an orgasm. Maybe you have just watch an adult movie or your mum just got home from work… no matter what is the reason, you SHOULD NEVER masturbate quickly in order to reach an orgasm. If you don’t have private time for masturbation, don’t do it. When you rush masturbation, you are programming your body to ejaculate quickly, which causes premature ejaculation. Quick masturbation will worsen your condition right now and you should stop it as soon as possible.

Method 2: Train yourself to last as long as possible during masturbation. Before you go for the real thing, you need some training. Lock your room door and start masturbating. When you are about to reach an orgasm, stop stimulation. Wait for the urge to ejaculate to subside before you continue. Repeat this process for the next 20 minutes. When you do that, you are training your body to last longer and you tend to develop the skill to better control orgasm. I know it is a lot of hard work as the urge to ejaculate and just let go can be very tempting. But if you are serious about fixing your premature ejaculation problem, you ought to follow what I taught you here.

Method 3: Rotate your hip. When you are about to ejaculate (don’t wait till the last minute), rotate your hip and wait for the urge to subside. Take this time to hug your girl and talk dirty to further turn her on. Don’t thrust until your arousal level has dropped.

Method 4: Right breathing pattern. Many men forget to take in deep breaths during intercourse and this will make you ejaculate faster. Take in deep breaths and have a consistent breathing pattern.

Method 5: Don’t go

The "Contents Pack-out" Trap and How to Escape It

“Contents Pack-out” is a term used by water and fire restoration contractors, and insurance companies. It is the process in which the contractor sends trucks, boxes and workers to your home. They pack up all of the damaged personal property in your home or business and transport it back to their warehouse. Once the personal property is at the warehouse, the contractor begins the cleaning and restoration process.

Insurance companies do not like to replace personal property. They would rather clean or repair it and give it back to you. That drastically slashes their claims cost, which makes them happy.

I’ve been an insurance adjuster for over 16 years, and in the insurance business for over 35 years. I’ve seen very few instances where seriously damaged personal property can be just cleaned or repaired successfully. Most fires burn or infuse toxic chemicals into personal property, like wood or textiles. Same goes for a flood loss. My personal opinion is that replacement of damaged personal property is better than repair or cleaning.

So, what is the trap?

Insurance adjusters like to swoop in with their favorite approved restoration contractor and do a “pack-out.” But your insurance policy has a limit on Personal Property. All of the money that the insurance adjuster authorizes to have your contents cleaned is paid against the policy limit. So, if the restoration contractor cleans a bunch of your damaged property, but you reject it as damaged, the contractor still gets paid. But you have less money now to replace your damaged personal property.

The trap is that a pack-out can penalize you when you are submitting your insurance claim!

Here’s the Escape Strategy

1. You own the personal property…not the insurance company and not the restoration contractor. It is YOUR DECISION what gets repaired and what gets replaced, not the adjuster.

2. Call in your own restoration contractor for a second opinion. It shouldn’t cost you anything, but even if it did, it would be money well spent.

3. Make sure every single item that gets removed from your home is listed on an inventory sheet.

4. Based upon your contractor’s opinion, negotiate the replacements with the adjuster and settle the claim.

If you have experienced a property loss, whether fire, wind, flood or other, you need to know winning insurance claim strategies. The insurance company will not tell you the claims process, but I will. I will show you how to take control of your insurance claim, and add hundreds or even thousands more dollars to your claim settlement. For more information, go to the website listed below.…

Computer Graphics – Concepts and Principles

Representing and manipulating an image data by a computer is called Computer Graphics. It is shortly referred to as CG. The development in this field has created a drastic change in media like animation as well as video game industry. Most of the mind blowing effects in cinemas are the result of the advancement in Computer Graphics. Here let us discuss some of the basic concepts and principles in CG.

Image:

An image of picture is nothing but an art work that looks like a person or a physical object. This representation of a physical object or person may be either two dimensional or three dimensional. Optical devices such as lenses, mirrors, cameras are used to capture such images. A digital image is a representation of a 2-dimensional image in binary format, that is, as a sequence of 1s and 0s. Raster and vector images are the two types of digital images. But the raster images are the most commonly used.

Pixel:

The resolution of a picture is often based on the pixel counts of the image. When the image is seen in an enlarged portion, you can notice the individual pixels as squares. Generally pixels are arranged in an ordinary 2-dimensional grid and dots or squares are often used to represent them. Each and every pixel differs in color systems and intensity. A single pixel can be considered as a sample of an image. Increase in pixel count, that is, increase in samples, results in the exact representation of the original picture.

Graphics:

Combination of text, illustration and color is called Graphics. They are the visual representation of any object on the surface such as computer screen, wall, paper etc. Photographs, drawings, maps, diagrams are some of the examples. The prime objective of the Graphics is to create a style that is unique or an effective communication associated with cultural elements.

Rendering:

Using computer programs, an image can be generated from a model. This process is called Rendering. The model contains viewpoint, geometry, texture, lighting etc. The image may be a raster graphics image or digital image. To produce the final video output, this process is used for the calculating effects in a video editing file.

3D projection:

This kind of projection is used extensively and most preferably in CG, drafting and engineering. It is a method of mapping 3 dimensional points to a 2 dimensional plane. At present only 2-dimensional plane is used for displaying graphical data.

Ray tracing:

Using this technique an image can be generated by tracing the path of light ray through pixel in an image plane. It has the ability to produce images with extreme photorealism at a greater computational cost.

Shading:

It refers to depicting illustrations or depth in 3D models in different darkness levels. There are several techniques of shading where the perpendicular lines are drawn in a crisscross pattern to shade an area.

Texture mapping:

This method is used for adding surface texture, color or any detail to a 3D model …

Web Designing: Is Virtual Reality the Future?

With Virtual Reality penetrating every aspect of our digital experience – be it gaming or smartphones- it is now time to gauge its scope in web designing. As someone at the helm of a web designing company you’re perhaps busy estimating possibilities. Is VR at all possible in web designing? Is VR the future of web designing? We will explore all that and more-right here!

What will VR websites be like?

You know that a regular 2D website in order to convert into VR, needs to offer users a more immersive and interactive website. If regular videos made for one of the most obvious avenues of immersive experience, VR is going to take on from here. So, if today you’re visiting a website to find out about Egyptian pyramids, today you might as well expect to take a virtual tour of the Egyptian pyramids while seeking information about them.

Taking the 3D perspective in view, you might as well be able to try out a dress that you’re searching on an online store. What more? VR will also empower you to create multiple versions of the same dress and try them out at the same time.

Your immersive experience goes several notches higher when you’re actually checking out the website of a car dealer. Thanks to the integration of Virtual Reality, you can actually go on to test-drive your car, select options and tweak the seating position as per your liking (if at all you need to do that).

Is Web VR the future?

With some of the biggest names – including Sony, Facebook and Google investing in VR, the stakes are actually running high. A credentialed web designing company, once assigned a project will definitely consider the possibility of integrating VR elements in your website.

There are, however, a few experts who believe that Web VR is not going to be a reality – at least not in the nearest future. It’s amazing to think about the potential of trying out dresses in Amazon or test-driving cars, but the technology is not “woven” together through hyperlinks like websites in their current form are.

So, keeping the aforementioned points in view, it can well be opined that though the potential of web VR is huge, we still have to wait some time till it goes big. 2017 may just not be the year. It is very important on your end to educate yourself more about the nuances of Web VR.…

What Are The Advantages Of T1 Over DSL?

Here's the question many small to medium size businesses ponder … sometimes to the point of paralysis. "What are the advantages of a T1 are over DSL at the same bandwidth?"

The answer is really much simpler than one would think. The key word here though is … "think".

Without your major and only concern is cost, a T-1 will win hands down. A T-1 is going to be more reliable. The big plus is if it does go down, the SLA (Service Level Agreement) and QoS (Quality of Service) negotiated with the provider mandates a quick response (to start fixing any T-1 issues. Whereas a DSL could go down for days and there is nothing you can do about it. With DSL there's rarely any mandated response times for repairs.

Also a T-1 is usually more dedicated than DSL. For example the provider could have 200 customers or more out of one DSLAM … but the T-1 is all for you. You will see less less latency and bandwidth problems with your T-1 than you would with a DSL from the same provider. This may not be the case all over … but for most it is true.

Now here's a few facts to further confuse you (hopefully not … but be forewarned).

The DSL cost at about 1.5M is not that much less than burstable T-1 service (sometimes referred to as Full T-1 "as you need it"). This may surprise you, but in the long run (and you'd be foolish to pay full price rather than taking a 36 month term reduction), in this particular situation SDSL may not be that much less expensive even than Full T-1 services . But … and this is a BIG but …. T-1 is the better choice on a straight internet cost / benefit analysis. (Not to mention performance issues).

Let me explain …

Internet access (as in internet or data only) is the largest waste of T-carrier bandwidth for businesses who are not teeny tiny ISP's. The smart thing to do is take your total voice investment (monthly, installation, maintenance, hardware, etc.) and add it to your total internet / data investment. What you will find is that even if you need the full 1.544Mbps for internet / data, you will save thousands of dollars or more by fully integrating voice and data services.

Let me give you some examples of how you can do this:

1) Fiber optics. A very large infrastructure cost offset by a reliably small bandwidth usage cost means fiber pays for itself within a couple of years. No brainer – except there's no fiber to be found.

2) ADTS-E over T-3. Like T-1, DS-3 can also be purchased fractionally. Dedicating certain DS3 channels (1.544Mbps each) for voice and certain ones for data. Configured in this way, DS-3 is not going to be as expensive as you think, and you'll have the advantage of cost / benefit by bundling voice / data and internet through one …

Why Inbound Marketing Is Best For Business

With the advances in technology, the business has changed to a great extent. More business opportunities are now available for everyone online. Millions of potential clients and customers can be reached in a matter of little time. With every passing day, business networking has become easy and convenient. The cost that is spent on this aspect has also dramatically reduced over time, a budget however is still required for inbound marketing. Inbound marketing is used to touch millions of people within less time and financial expenditure and produce more effective results.

Outbound marketing works on advertising the product to all sorts of people, whereas inbound market works on people that are somehow already interested in the product you offer or the service you provide. As they are already looking for it, the only job you have to do is draw their attention towards your product and convince them that what you offer is better than what your competition offers. This cost less than the traditional outbound marketing as you do not have to interest your customer from the start, the customer is already interested all you have to do is convince them to buy your product or use your service. This strategy is used by many companies now and is giving good results helping them boost their business.

Hiring an inbound marketing company is one of the wise decisions that should be made. Free services are available, but true and effective results can only come when you invest a little. Yes, you can try to do it yourself too, but any successful running business has specialized people working in separate departments for every job. This way one individual focuses on one thing and brings out the best in it. Knowing something does not mean you can utilize it to its full potential. Specialized people should be hired to do their jobs and the same goes for hiring an inbound marketing company.

Well developed search engine optimization is a necessary part of this field. All web users use search engines to find out whatever they want to. The firm would not only manage all your social media profiles, but would also work to boost your rank in search engines, making it sure that whenever someone searches something that has your keywords, your company shows up first instead of someone else.

It basically depends upon three things, the content you share, search engine optimization and social media presence. If all three are utilized effectively, a large number of traffic would easily be directed towards your products or services. Content means all information you share irrespective in which form. It can be videos or written. It should explain in detail. The search engine is the channel through which people would find out about the content you share. The most basic and most used channels are none other than Google. In order to increase the number of visits you get, you need to be in the high ranks of the search result page. Social …

Online Retail Buyers Behavior

Any good SEO firm will advise you that you need to have good knowledge of your audience and your clients buying behaviors. These days how clients find and purchase products have changed dramatically since before the internet. Where clients used to go shop to shop, looking for deals and identifying the best options, they are now searching online in the comfort of their own homes and then ordering online with to the door delivery.

Before you start your online marketing campaign, it is essential that you understand the online retail buyers behavior, so that you can target your campaign towards your audience and ensure that they click on your site, driving more traffic to your site and in turn, helping you achieve greater success moving forward.

What you do need to understand is that seventy one percent of clients are directed to a company that they buy from via a top search engine, such as Bing, Google or Yahoo. This means that you need to ensure you have a solid search engine optimization campaign in place so that you can increase your ranking to reach your audience in the long run. Always bear in mind that your competitors are doing exactly the same thing.

Another interesting fact is that one third of Bing clients perform retail searches. This means that a high volume of people going unto the internet are looking for specific products or services. They may have a sudden need, this does not mean that they are already in focus to purchase, right now they are just looking at what is available.

Another of the things a SEO firm will tell you is that a client searching online is looking for a particular product or service, they are not focusing on brands in their initial search. As they find more information on particular brands this is when it sparks an interest and their search parameters change. So how does this help you? Use branded and non-branded keywords and help your clients throughout the process with links to various pages that are relevant on their site to help them with their buying decision.

It has been revealed that category searches are the top choices and companies that show in category searches are automatically considered as market leaders even if the client doesn’t click on your link. They see your name and your name is instantly associated as market leader, so focus keywords on categories as well as specific products and services.

Try and select your keywords that immediately answer a clients question. This may not be easy, but you can use long and short tailed keywords, so if a client is looking for something and asks for a particular item in a question, you want to be able to answer them with ease, this will direct them towards your link and probably encourage them to click on it.

Use shopping campaigns as a way to reach your audience. Clients are always looking for deals. So if you campaign your …
